AGI — General Artificial Intelligence, AI of 2060.
AGI, It has been estimated that it will be available to us by 2060.
It is an AI that can understand or learn or learn any intellectual task. It will be like a human but a very superior version of ourselves.
History is going to repeat itself, In the early stages of human development, there were many species of humans — Homo: Erectus, Neanderthals, Homo florescent. These other species of humans got extinct, and Historians presume that it is our species(sapiens) who derived other species to extinction.
Neanderthals were a much stronger species than sapiens, they were very masculine, ginormous, and intelligent too but not intelligent like sapiens. Sapiens used to live in herds they developed weapons before other species. When Sapiens moved from Africa, which is the origin place of sapiens, they met with other species and derived many species to extinction. All this happened because we were much smarter than them.
There is always a danger regarding General Artificial. It can take over us and remove us for its better survival here. This is very much possible, the way we are putting data about ourselves like How we act, reasons for our anger, happiness, sadness, and other feelings.
AGI will understand us better than own ourselves. This will probably lead to many issues. As they understand us, they can have better control over us. They will be able to able to manipulate us without our notice.
Even now, we are being manipulated by different things on the internet. I am sure when you go on youtube for watching one video but you end up watching more than one. All this because they understand us and give us the right suggested video which triggers us to watch more. This youtube algorithm is also AI-based.
Agi is just on another level, giving a full body with years of data about us will make them unstoppable. This time scientists are creating a weapon for destroying human culture. I don’t what’s their actual motive or maybe they have some plan for stopping this disaster.
AI technology is advancing faster than expected and billions are being invested directly into AGI research.
It is very much possible that we will make Artificial intelligence that will be much smarter than us.
In Feb 2022, DeepMind revealed an AI engine called AlphaCode that can write original software at a skill level that exceeds 54% of human programmers. This is not AGI, and yet it took the industry by surprise, as few expected such a milestone to be reached this quickly.
AI like AlphaCode makes people worry, and people have started to ask questions — Is this possible that AI will take our jobs, Is AI the next internet boom, how AI can remove human civilization along with many other questions. I mean why not, we humans are programmed that for centuries “ Things we don’t know about which have potential to change the world make us Fear.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has warned that:
“AGI is humanity’s biggest existential threat. Efforts to bring it about, he has said, are like “summoning the demon.”
According to Diego Klabjan, a professor at Northwestern University:
“Currently, computers can handle a little more than 10,000 words. So, a few million neurons. But human brains have billions of neurons that are connected in a very intriguing and complex way, and the current state-of-the-art [technology] is just straightforward connections following very easy patterns. So going from a few million neurons to billions of neurons with current hardware and software technologies — I don’t see that happening.”
Hopefully AGI is going to take decades for making its presence.
